Job Description or Duties: The University of Nebraska at Kearney (UNK) and the Department of Accounting, Finance and Economics invite applications for a tenure-track position in accounting at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor of Accounting to begin in Fall 2019. We are seeking applications in the areas of financial accounting, cost/managerial accounting, or tax. Teaching undergraduate and graduate accounting courses. Conducting scholarly research that leads to publication in quality peer-reviewed journals. Participation in internal and external service activities. Advising and interacting with students, and pursuing professional development.
 
Required Qualifications: A Ph.D. in accounting or DBA with an emphasis in accounting research. An ABD within one year of completion is acceptable. Teaching experience and a commitment to teaching excellence. A commitment to publishing research in quality journals. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
 
Preferred Qualifications: Professional certification (CPA, CMA, etc.). University teaching experience. Online teaching experience. Quality publication history.
