Customer Service Specialist, Nebraska Safety Center, 56137
Job Description or Duties: Provide excellent customer service utilizing knowledge of the Nebraska Safety Center and UNK procedures for accurate dissemination of information using independent judgment, tact, and problem resolution skills. Exercise discretion and confidentiality. -Interact with current and potential customers and provide valid solutions. Provide excellent customer service utilizing knowledge of the Nebraska Safety Center and UNK procedures for accurate dissemination of information using independent judgement, tact and problem resolution skills. Develop and administer instructor and new employee onboarding and orientation. Contribute to event outreach and marketing assistant of the Safety Center. Serve as initial point of contact for a wide variety of issues and assist with providing appropriate resolutions using independent judgment, tact and decisiveness. Maintain customer accounts and update information as needed. Reply to inquires via telephone or email and record details of interaction. Assist with programs ranging from Driver Education, DRIVE, STOP, Motorcycle, and Pupil Transportation. Perform numerous and varied work processes for multiple programs according to University guidelines and requirements. Assist with registrations. Manage incoming calls and customer service inquires.
Required Qualifications: Associate’s degree in business-related field or a combination of education with an emphasis on customer service. Strong interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, and possess a strong orientation towards collaboration, leadership and teamwork with people of diverse backgrounds. Must take initiative, operate independently, and be detail-oriented with an emphasis on accuracy and organization. Expertise in using MS Suite and willingness to learn additional computer-based software. Flexible schedule as some events may be outside regular hours.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree. Customer Service Experience.
