Job Description or Duties: The University of Nebraska at Kearney is seeking an Office Associate in the Marketing, Agribusiness & Supply Chain Management department. Maintain a professional office atmosphere. Meet and greet visitors to Marketing, Agribusiness & Supply Chain Management Department. Enter and locate data on computers, using MyBlue, Windows, SAP, Microsoft Office and related software applications. Update and maintain the Marketing, Agribusiness & Supply Chain Management Department website. Answer telephone calls and respond to general and routine inquiries. Prepare university online forms such as purchase orders, requisitions, invoices, time reports, class schedule changes and other human resource management related actions. Assist department head with documentation and auditing of department budget. Assist faculty with a variety of tasks, i.e. organizing testing materials, proctoring exams, grading, recording, etc. Open, sort, record and distribute mail and route, file or prepare appropriate responses. Maintain and coordinate repair of office and its equipment. Coordinate the office workflow to maintain flexibility with work assignments. Maintain individual and departmental calendars, arrange meetings & appointments. Assist other departments/center in the college as needed. Make travel reservations and process expense reimbursements. Prepare orientation materials and presentations for students and parents. Update and maintain department faculty annual evaluation binders for the department.  Compile and assemble data for administrative review and action. Train, supervise, assign tasks and review work of student workers and graduate assistants. Maintain an inventory of office supplies. Assist with preparation and organization of special events, meetings, and conferences. Provide other professional support as needed. Kay Payne Case Competition administrative duties.
Required Qualifications: High School Diploma. Previous office experience. Must have strong human relations skills and excellent oral and written communication skills; must be able to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds, knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office products.
Preferred Qualifications: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent combination of education and experience, previous experience in office environment with an emphasis on customer service
