Food and Beverage Manager

Job Description
Summary: The Food and Beverage Manager oversees all aspects of the organization’s Food and Beverage platform to the highest standards to ensure an exceptional guest experience. Must be progressive and forward thinking. Creativity is an essential and critical component to the position.  
 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (including but not limited to):
  • Direct, develop and implement all aspects of Food and Beverage operations
  • Coordinate with the President of Business Operations to create a pro forma and organizational chart to operate a fiscally responsible department
  • Develop menu planning, costs, and preparation of all Food and Beverage presentations to include Concessions, Suites, and Special Events 
  • Ensure compliance with operating standards to maintain brand integrity
  • Develop and implement operational procedures and standards that support employees and their effort to deliver outstanding service 
  • Oversee training in all departments of Food and Beverage to ensure total guest satisfaction
  • Ensure all labor and Food and Beverage costs are in line with budget
  • Responsible for working with vendors for best cost and quality control
  • Recruit and select qualified candidates for staffing
  • Provide all Food and Beverage employees with the orientation and training needed to understand expectations and perform job responsibilities
  • Set and maintain proper staffing levels adjusted to business volume
  • Oversee operating costs and can develop an operational business model to maximize fluidity
  • Analyze business results and trends on a regular basis and take actions to improve results as needed
  • Work closely with the all departments to plan coordinate and oversee all Special Events
  • Oversee Concessions, Bars, Clubs, and Special Events operations
  • Oversee schedule and staffing needs for all Food and Beverage areas including full time, part-time and event day
  • Approve all Food and Beverage purchases
  • Maintain secure and theft-free storage areas
  • Ensure all health code, TABC and safety standards are maintained
  • Oversee the maintenance/warranty and operation of all equipment
  • Report and document all hazards, injuries or unsafe practices within the work environment
  • Conduct monthly inventories of Food and Beverage products to ensure an accurate month end
  • Generate price and menu comparisons for other sports and entertainment venues
  • Oversee all menu selections and pricing
  • Approve weekly payroll for food and beverage department
  • Conduct training for staff, including full time, part time and event day
  • Create a positive work environment for staff, always
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Preferred experience in food and beverage service and management
  • Highly energetic and motivated individual
  • Must have strong leadership skills
  • Previous hospitality industry experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong customer/client focus essential
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently and as part of a team 
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high pressure environment
  • Ability to shift and manage multiple priorities
  • Adaptable to change
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule including long hours, nights, weekends and holidays
  • Must be detail oriented, have strong organizational skills, and demonstrated interpersonal skills
  • High level of flexibility during busy periods as required by the business
