Classic Car Collection
Job Description

The General Manager is primarily responsible for supervising and coordinating daily activities for the Classic Car Collection (CCC) including management of staff and volunteer schedules, ongoing recruitment and retainment of volunteers and special events. This mission of the Classic Car Collection is to preserve the history and cultivate an appreciation of the automobile.

Accountability: Classic Car Collection Board of Directors

Essential Functions:

  • Ensuring daily operations of the Classic Car Collection are maintained including opening/closing, daily and special event staffing, etc.
  • Develop and maintain organizational structure of staff and volunteers and delegate duties to utilize their strengths in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Coordinating, scheduling and training paid and volunteer staff to perform at the highest level of customer service.
  • Develop and manages overall Classic Car Collection budget, expenditures and donations to effectively utilize finances and capital assets.
  • Manage and maintain gift shop inventory including ordering and researching.
  • Manage and maintain good relationships with participants of the vehicle loaner program.
  • Display exceptional business management skills including but not limited to organization, planning, judgement, interpersonal relationships and communication.
  • Work in conjunction with Financial Director to submit daily receivables twice a week
  • Develop agenda, prepare board packets and attend monthly meeting with Classic Car Collection Board of Directors.
  • Develop and maintain appropriate community relations with relevant local businesses and attractions in an effort to generate local awareness and collaborative efforts.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with local, regional and national car clubs.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by Board of Directors.
  • Acquire general knowledge of automobiles in the collection and their history.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $30,000.00 to $40,000.00 /year
